Day 1

Hello! My name is Tamara. This is my first time ever trying to blog so we'll see how this goes. Before I tell you what my purpose is for writing a blog, let me introduce myself. I am 27 years old and am currently a teacher in Phoenix. I got married about a year ago to BJ and thats going splendid!! Currently, I own 2 businesses and 1 of them is a direct selling company that I've enjoyed working! It's a lot of fun working with my customers but I'm not getting the income I hope for. And I'm not doing ANYTHING with the 2nd one. So I've got to get on a roll. I am also a musician. I play and teach choirs at my church and also teach private lessons. I've had a blast teaching kids how to play instruments and testing them on when Mozart was born, but I'm looking for something new!!!

That is the purpose for this blog. I have been in network or direct marketing since 2004. Although I've enjoyed handing out cards, talking to family members and friends, I'm looking for better results in a short amount of time. My mission with this blog is to test a few of these internet attraction marketing companies, like MLSP and Aweber to see if they can help me build my business on the internet. I have always wanted to own my own business. In college, I started giving piano lessons and doing hair on campus so I was making some money on the side. Then I started being asked to go to these business presentations but there was a lot of talk about "Pyramids" during that time so I never took a second look. Then my dad started a network marketing business and I wanted to follow him. My father is a very educated man that does A LOT of research on EVERYTHING he chooses to do, so I figured if he liked it, then it should be trustworthy enough to try. I lived in Los Angeles at the time and focus and training were hard to get. So that died down. I tried it again when I moved back to Phoenix. Enrolled about 2 people then once again, it died down. Then I started my direct marketing business and as I said earlier, it's going pretty well. i love my customers, I'm just looking for more income and an opportunity for others to enjoy that doesn't require a lost of start-up costs. So I think my second business will qualify in this category.  

However, I currently do NOTHING with my second business. I know, I know. How can I expect to build a business if I do nothing with it? Well today is the day! I'm feeling refreshed and renewed and rejuvenated. MOTIVATED. I'm ready to get moving and working on my own business so I won't have to rely on my teaching position anymore. I want to FIRE MY BOSS!  Besides, sometimes it's just time to move on from some things. I believe we have differents seasons in out lives and I feel like I'm just moving into a new one. I JUST NEED TO STAY FOCUSED! So maybe by writing about my experience with these companies, I will be able to stay on track with my goals and SUCCEED! So wish me luck as I start this journey!
